Asphalted: The unofficial car park at the head of the University of Guyana Road at Cummings Lodge was asphalted on Wednesday. According to the hire car drivers, who transport students to and from the Turkeyen Campus, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure finally did the stretch after they were asked by several past University of Guyana Students Society Presidents to do so. Over the years, drivers servicing the university had created the bypass from UG Road to the East Coast Highway.
