Drivers injured in two-vehicle crash at Sheriff Street

A two-vehicle smash-up, involving a Toyota Raum and a water delivery Canter truck yesterday morning at Sheriff Street has left four persons, including a toddler, injured.

Renaldo Pertab, driver of the Canter, sustained a broken hip and was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH). He was pinned in the vehicle and had to be rescued by the Guyana Fire Service. His wife Natasha Persaud and their two-year-old child Aman Pertab escaped with minor injuries and were treated and sent home.
