$1M bail for businessman over Houston road fatality

A Pouderoyen man was yesterday placed on $1,020,000 bail after he denied the charge of causing a death by dangerous driving.

The courtroom of Magistrate Judy Latchman heard that on July 28, on the Houston Public Road, Mohammed Rahman, 31, of 10 Small Street, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, drove his vehicle PSS 4430, in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Lisa Khan. Moreover, he was also charged with failing to submit himself to a breathalyzer test when he was stopped by police on the Ruimveldt Public Road.
