Randolph Mendonca, 42, was yesterday read with a charge which stated that on July 29 at Alexander Village, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged the rear view mirror on a car belonging to Ganesh Rampersaud. The cost of the damaged rearview mirror is $15,000. Mendonca told the court that he does odd jobs for persons to receive tips, and repeated several times that he was homeless, while pleading not guilty to the offence.

Police Prosecutor Kerry Bostwick objected to bail, noting that the accused has no fixed place of abode.

Bail was subsequently refused by Magistrate Judy Latchman and she adjourned the matter until September 13.
