Three more months for Kitty Market works

Town Clerk Royston King has given the City Engineer’s Department three months to complete full rehabilitation of the Kitty Market and the total bill is estimated at $240m.

According to a press release yesterday from the Mayor and City Council, completion was delayed due to limited funds and materials. So far, the Council has spent approximately $110m in repairs, and it is estimated that it will cost $240m to restore the entire structure. This includes the addition of a western wing covering both the ground floor and the first floor to accommodate the hundreds of applications that the municipality has received from previous and potential stall holders, the release stated.
