Cops, Riddim Squad move on in Mayor’s Cup football

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) and Riddim Squad became the latest teams to qualify for the quarterfinal round in the Mayor’s Cup Football Championship, defeating Camptown and Beavers respectively yesterday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground.

The lawmen swept past fellow Campbellville-based unit Camptown by a 3-0 scoreline. With the first half failing to separate the teams, GPF broke the deadlock four minutes into the second period as Keiron Boston scored.
