An apology and a commitment

Hi Everyone,

I have a confession to make. I know very little about the food culture and food heritage of our Indigenous peoples. Apart from foods such Pepperpot, Cassava bread, Cassareep and Farine (and that is certainly not the sum of their cuisine), I admit ignorance.

20140809TasteslikehomeI’ve heard of Piwari, and Fly but I’ve never drunk either beverage. This gap in knowledge was brought sharply into focus this month as we go about celebrating and observing Indigenous Heritage Month.
