A Route 48 minibus plunged into a trench along Homestretch Avenue yesterday afternoon to avoid colliding with a motor car which reportedly made a sudden turn.

Reports revealed that the minibus was proceeding east along Homestretch Avenue, when the car, HC 4701, which was travelling in front of the bus turned without indication in an effort to enter D’Urban Park.  As a result, the driver of the minibus in an effort to avoid a collision plunged into the nearby trench.
