Tashana Wong, a Caribbean and World Champion Saturday was promoted to a third degree black belt (Sandan) when the Guyana Karate College (GKC) held its final exam for 2016 at the St. Joseph’s High School, Woolford Avenue, and Thomas Lands.
According to a press release, the promotion was held to mark the GKC’s 10th year and overlooking the day’s exam was an elite panel of top local Martial artists led by Shuseki Shihan Frank Woon-a-Tai, 9th degree black belt with over 50 years of experience in karate, Sensei Jeffrey Wong, a 6th Dan and Senior Instructor and Vice Chairman of the College,
