Festival of lights: Despite the government having declared the annual Diwali holiday as Saturday, residents in various parts of the country observed the event yesterday, highlighting an ongoing dispute between the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha (GHDS) and other Hindu groups. For the second year running the government has disagreed with the GHDS on what the date should be. These homes in Campbellville were well lit last night.
