Local pontoons: GNIC recently delivered the first of a new batch of locally constructed pontoons to the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority which are to be used in the Ministry of Agriculture’s World Bank-funded flood control programme.
A release yesterday from GNIC said that the pontoon was handed over at Maduni, Land of Canaan outfall and has since been towed to Flagstaff in the East Demerara Water Conservancy.(GNIC photo)
