Law student charged with theft

A law student was released on $50,000 bail yesterday after denying a charge that he stole $90,000 from the bank account of a friend of his girlfriend.

The court of Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan heard that on November 3rd, at Camp Street, Georgetown, Kevon Henry, 26, of Lot 4 Ketley Street, stole $90,000, which was the property of Marlon Gardener, from his Republic Bank account. Henry, who is also a part-time bartender in addition to being a law student, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
