Laing Avenue taxi driver murder PI begins

Yesterday marked the commencement of the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the charge against Reagus Lamazon and Samuel McIntyre, the two men accused of killing taxi driver Orin David.

Lamazon and McIntyre are jointly charged with murdering David in August at Laing Avenue, Georgetown.

At the start of the PI before Magistrate Dylon Bess in Georgetown, David’s stepdaughter, Tiffany Laurie gave evidence.

Afterward, she was cross-examined by attorney Adrian Thompson, who is representing Lamazon, and attorney Lyndon Amsterdam for McIntyre.

The matter was then adjourned until today, when Laurie is expected to be further cross-examined and other witnesses are expected to testify.
