A section of the Health Fair which was hosted by the Ministry of Public Health at D’Urban Park on Friday.
The Ministry of Public Health on Friday hosted a Health Fair and Exhibition at D’Urban Park as the last activity in observance of World Diabetes Day 2016 The event saw several organisations coming out in support, including the Pan American Health Organisation/World Health Organisation (PAHO/WHO), Guyana Diabetes Association (GDA) and the Lions Club D’Urban Park/South Georgetown.
Minister of Public Health Dr. George Norton took the time put to test out this unique device belonging to the Guyana Diabetes Association (GDA); the “cycle blend”, allows a person to power blend fruits and vegetables for a healthy drink while at the same time getting some exercise.
Minister of Public Health Dr. George Norton joined in with the ladies for a quick Zumba fitness session on Friday at the Health Fair.
