City Constable was stabbed when attackers tried to steal bike

On Tuesday evening, City Constable Ragland Williams, 52, was attacked at the Merriman Mall playground by two bandits, who stabbed him about his body in what he related were efforts to steal a bicycle.

He suffered chops to his hand and stab wounds to his shoulder and chest during the attack.

Williams, who has been stationed at the mall for approximately three months now, related that he was nearing the end of his shift when the attack occurred.
