West Ruimveldt resident remanded over cell phone

A West Ruimveldt man was remanded to prison by a city magistrate after he was charged with stealing a cellular phone and cash.

Kenrick Cozier stood before Magistrate Annette Singh who read a charge which stated that on December 12, at Water Street, that Cozier, in the company of another, robbed Trebhuvan Kaladeen of a $40,000 Blackberry cellular phone and $2000 in cash.

Cozier, 24, pleaded guilty with an explanation to the offence.
