A new champion will be crowned in the Guinness of the Streets Linden competition as holders Amelia Ward Russians were booted in the quarterfinal round Thursday at the Mackenzie Market Tarmac.
In front of a large gathering, Russians went down to High Rollers 0-3. Jamal Almons opened the scoring in first minute with a right sided finish. It went from bad to worse for the holders when Kendolph Lewis added his name to the scorer’s sheet in the 11th minute, converting into the right corner.
The result was then sealed two minutes onwards as Almons netted his second with a strike into the left side of the net. With the result, High Rollers will now lock horns with Team 25 in the semi-final round on
