A young Corriverton couple is now contemplating their next move after a fire of unknown origin destroyed their one-bedroom apartment on Saturday evening around 8 pm.
Vanie Melissa Suknandan, 19, told Stabroek News that she resided in the apartment with her husband, 19- year old Raj Ramnarine, at Number 78 Village, Corriverton. According to the young woman, she was on the road awaiting her husband’s arrival from work when the fire began. “Me bolt the door and go out and when me come in back me see me house catch a fire. All thing bun out, me ain’t get nothing”, she said.
