Minibus driver Ozel Sam was yesterday charged with causing the death of a pedestrian by dangerous driving.
The charge against Sam stated that on December 19th, 2016, at Sarah Johanna Public Road, East Bank Demerara, he drove minibus BVV 6615 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of 50-year-old Khamini Etwaroo.
Sam, of Lot 14 Coverden, East Bank Demerara, denied the charge after it was read to him by Magistrate Fabayo Azore in Georgetown.
