Demico cook, lover to face trial for murder of partner

Demico cook Alexis Turpin and her lover Stephon Barlow, who are charged with fatally beating her partner in July, 2016, were yesterday committed to stand trial for the crime.

Turpin and Barlow are accused of murdering Sherwin Johnson on July 2nd, 2016, at Georgetown, by using a crowbar to unlawfully and maliciously wound him.

The Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the charge against them, which was conducted by Magistrate Renita Singh, saw both defendants giving closing submissions yesterday.
