It was alleged that on April 11, 2016, Cole, 40, of Blue Berry Hill, Wismar, Linden, drove vehicle GRR 3955 in a manner dangerous to the public along the public road at Eccles, thereby causing the death of La Fleur.

Magistrate Daly, after a brief hearing between Police Prosecutor Bharat Mangru and Cole’s attorney, said that she will be making her decision in two weeks. The magistrate said that she will consider the evidence and submissions that were made by both the prosecution and the defence.

Mangru told the court that he believes that he has made a case beyond a reasonable doubt against Cole. He argued that Cole’s inattentiveness was what had created the dangerous situation and he ought to be found guilty of the crime.

Magistrate Daly told Cole that her decision will be handed down on March 16 and he should be present in her courtroom.
