The new executive of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation Inc., (GBBFFI) has hit the ground running with outreaches in Berbice and Linden yesterday and today.
According to president of the federation Coel Marks, the purpose is: “To create a nexus between corporate Guyana and athletes in the hope we can get some level of commitment between both parties.”
Besides the outreaches, Marks noted “We’re currently trying to get onboard with the NSC’s new initiative geared at digitizing and combining the varying sports disciplines in Guyana. The hope is that it’ll create a wider platform to build popularity of the sport. The upside to that is that it is under the auspices of the government and they will shoulder the burden of maintaining the cost to upkeep.”
