There was no better welcome for CARIFTA Games athlete Chantoba Bright than the warm embrace she received after leaving the VIP Lounge at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport to find her loved ones awaiting her arrival. Bright captured the gold medal in the long jump and received a bronze medal in the triple jump. Bright, all smiles at the time, said she was overwhelmed by the welcome since although she has represented Guyana more than once at the international level, she has never received such a welcome before.
