Man charged with causing death of wife in Lethem trail accident

Two years after a vehicular accident claimed the life of his wife, Safraz Amir was yesterday charged with causing her death.

Amir, 37, was read a charge which alleged that on March, 8, 2015, at the Lethem trail, he drove minivan PRR 7631 and caused the death of Vimala Balgobin, who was the Project Coordinator for the Rural Enterprise and Agricultural Deve-lopment Project at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Amir, of Mahaica, denied the charge after it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in a Georgetown court.
