Undefeated Pepsi Hikers maintained their grip on the Farfan and Mendes men’s first division hockey league after crushing Old Fort 9-0 Saturday at the St. Stanislaus College ground, Carifesta Avenue.

It was second huge loss for Old Fort in as many days following their 2-8 defeat to Bounty Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Friday at the GCC ground, Bourda.

Although resisting stubbornly for the opening 16 minutes, Old Fort eventually withered under the immense attacking pressure and surrendered a hat-trick to veteran midfield dynamo Shane Samuels and a double to Andrew Stewart.

Rounding out the lopsided score with solitary conversions were Robert France, Randy Hope, Kevin Fogenay and Tivesard Garnett correspondingly. With the result, Hikers walked away with three points while the losers left empty handed.
