A fine batting effort from opener Sachin Singh and impressive bowling from all-rounder Alphius Bookie spurred the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) into today’s Georgetown Cricket Association/ Guyana Diabetic Associa-tion/ PHOW Under-17 T20 final.
Singh and Bookie’s efforts assisted DCC to defeat the Gandhi Youth Organisation by 34 runs at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground (GCC), Bourda yesterday.
DCC won the toss and elected to bat and a small gathering saw opener Singh get going with a scintillating straight drive for four while Primchand Ghansham eased pacer Yeudistir Persaud through backward point for four to give DCC a steady start.
