President David Granger has full confidence in acting Education Minister Nicolette Henry and it is he who has to decide how long she will remain in that position, Minister of State Joseph Harman said yesterday.
“As it stands Henry is performing the functions of the Minister of Education and that is the function she will perform until such time that the president in his deliberate judgement considers that there is some other arrangement that needs to be put in place”, Harmon said in response to a question regarding the appointment of a substantive minister. Henry’s substantive post is Minister within the Ministry of Education. During the press conference Harmon was asked to explain if a new ministry was being created for Minister Dr Rupert Roopnaraine and whether government believes Henry can function in such a critical ministry given the
