Kildonan family charged over shotgun found in police raid

Three members of a Kildonan family were yesterday charged with possession of a shotgun.

Herman De Souza, 61, his wife, Seeranie, 51, and their son Devon, 18, all of Kildonan Village, Corentyne, pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful possession of a firearm without being the holder of a firearm licence.

The three, who were represented by attorney Rodwell Jugmohan, denied ownership of the firearm and were placed on $75,000 bail each by Magistrate Charlyn Artiga at the Whim Magistrate’s Court.
