Homeless man charged over theft from city school

 

A homeless man was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with stealing from a city school.

Norbert Baijnauth, 49, was accused of breaking and entering the Nehemiah Comprehensive School, between August 2nd and August 3rd, 2017, at Queenstown, and stealing three electric fans, a stabiliser and 10 small bottles of water, all valued at $42,000 in total.

Baijnauth denied the charge when he appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Leron Daly.
