Patrice December was bursting with joy and excitement when Minister within the Ministry of Natural Resources Simona Broomes (left) presented her with a wheelchair to improve her mobility.
A Department of Public Information press release said that December who resides in Four Miles, Bartica Housing Scheme was born with cerebral palsy. Now 23 years old, her mobility was limited when her wheelchair was broken.
DPI said that December met Broomes when she was distributing kites back in Easter. “She was so excited during the distribution because she wanted hers,” Broomes told DPI.
“I’m only here just living up to my word. I don’t like promise, I like to complete things and she’s a sweet darling. She makes me really happy when I see the expression on her face,” Broomes told DPI. (DPI photo)
