Bus troubles

Bus troubles: On its second day of operation, this school bus, one of the three operating in Georgetown under the President’s Buses, Boats and Bicycles + Breakfast and Books (Five Bs) programme broke down on Aubrey Barker Road yesterday. A release from the Department of Public Information explained that the bus had experienced mechanical difficulties while transporting children home from school and noted that the Ministry of Education, which is responsible for maintaining the buses, has arranged a mechanical assessment so that the problem can be identified and addressed and the bus returned to service. Those children affected are in the South Georgetown Number One Route, which covers Well Road – Aubrey Barker Road – Mandela Avenue – North Ruimveldt Multilateral School and East Ruimveldt Secondary School – Homestretch Avenue – Croal Street.
