A helping hand for a working dad

A helping hand for a working dad: The Cardinals Cricket team last Sunday made a monetary donation to Ron Pilgrim, at the National Park. Pilgrim lost his daughter, 18-month-old Ronasha Pilgrim, who was allegedly murdered by Ron Pilgrim’s youngest brother Sherwin Roberts. Roberts, who has since been charged, allegedly ripped the child’s gold earrings from her ears before tossing her through a window into a waterlogged yard where she drowned. When she died, she was at home with two brothers – both children – as her father, a single dad, was out working as a security guard. This newspaper had later featured Pilgrim in a story where he shared that he needed to work day and night in an effort to complete his home. Mikoo Yosef-Yisrael, of the cricket club, said they read of Pilgrim’s plight and felt the need to make a donation.
