Hundreds of Guyanese showed up to take part in GTT’s Pinktober 5K/10K Walk/Run yesterday. The event was organised as part of efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer, which for several years was the leading type of cancer diagnosed in Guyanese. The number of new cases are, however, decreasing, with 86 having been recorded in 2016 and 65 having been diagnosed so far in 2017.
