GBTI commissions ATM at Mon Repos

The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI Ltd) yesterday commissioned an ATM  at the Medicare Building at Lot 22 Mon Repos, a press release from the bank said.

Speaking on behalf of the Bank, Regent Street Branch Manager Roxanne Welcome-Europe, noted that the country saw its first ATM machine in 1994, the brainchild of GBTI. She said that the commissioning of this ATM means that the bank now has 24 in total. Welcome-Europe said that the Bank is proud of its network of thirteen branches across the length and breadth of the country.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer (ag) Shaleeza Shaw said that GBTI will soon be launching smart ATMs.

Also present at the ceremony was Region Four Chairman, Genevieve Alleyne, who remarked that GBTI is now the fourth bank along the East Coast area and applauded the bank for the initiative.
