Soesdyke man gets 12 months for seawall knife point robbery

A Soesdyke resident who was armed with a cutlass and a knife in the course of a seawall robbery, was yesterday sentenced to twelve months imprisonment.

Asid Mohammed, 31, was accused of being armed with a cutlass and a knife, when he robbed Dominique Etwaroo of one cellphone, valued at $20,000, one Samsung Galaxy tablet, valued at $20,000, one sim card, valued at $2,000 and one memory card, valued at $2,000 on August 12, at the Kingston Seawall, Georgetown.

On the same day, it is alleged that Mohammed being armed with a cutlass and a knife robbed Daniel Grey of one cellphone, valued at $25,000, one sim card, valued at $2,000, and one memory card, valued at $2,000.
