Logger gets bail after denying robbery charges

A logger was granted bail yesterday after he denied any involvement in two robberies.

It is alleged that Glen Day, 29, of 556 ‘A’ Field Sophia, on November 5, at Kitty, in the company of others and armed with knives, robbed Edward Layne of a Samsung phone, valued at $70,000, a polo wallet and $100,000.

The second charge stated that on September 9, at Kitty, together with others, Day robbed Juan Mentore of a $75,000 gold chain and an iPhone, valued at $61,000.
