Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) walked away with the men’s first division, women’s and veteran titles when the GTT National Indoor Hockey championships concluded yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
In the men’s first division showdown, Bounty GCC edged Old Fort 2-1 on penalty strikes after the match ended 4-4.
Dwayne Scott bagged a brace in the eighth and 29th minute while Orland Semple and Jason Khalil scored in the 21st and 31st minute apiece.
For Old Fort, Askofu Simon recorded a hat-trick in the 15th, 32nd and 40th minute while Jael Gaskin scored in the 26th minute.
In the women’s final, Pizza Hut GCC dismissed INET Lynx 4-1. Sonia Jardine tallied a double in the 19th and 35th minute while Shebiki Baptiste scored twice in the fifth and 38th minute.
