Rain washes out scheduled UDFA league matches

Rain had the final say on match-day two of the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) 2017/2018 senior league washing out the scheduled doubleheader at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground, Linden.

According to the UDFA third Vice-President Kelon Josiah during a brief comment, “The fixture will be rescheduled to another date. It was very disappointing that the rain came and washed out the games. We will have to do back the fixtures but tomorrow’s [today’s] games remain as is.”

He added, “Wednesday [November 8th] is also games. We didn’t get to play the previous Wednesday [November 1st] so we had to reschedule those and revise the fixtures. The two matches promised to be exciting so it’s unfortunate that rain came and washed out everything.”
