District Six has slim lead after first day of National Cycling c/ships

Cycling action yesterday in the National Park. District 6 holds a slim seven-point lead on District 10 with two events remaining.

After 32 of 34 events of this year’s National Schools, Swimming, Cycling and Track and Field Championships were completed in the National Park yesterday the cyclists from Berbice are ahead by seven points.

The riders from the Ancient County have so far amassed 229 points with just the boys’ Open 40Km and the girl’s Open 25Km road races to be contested Friday.

District 10 are sitting on the saddle in second with 222 points while District 13 are in third position on 125 points.
