Gold is Money ascended to the throne of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Georgetown Championship, dethroning defending champion Sparta Boss 1-0 in a dream finale on Saturday at the Demerara Park Tarmac.

It was a fitting end to a captivating tournament, as the first ever meeting between the teams in the Georgetown Zone, delivered a spectacle, which was witnessed by a capacity crowd.

Randolph Wagner, denied the Spartans from securing an unprecedented hat-trick of titles, sending the crowd into raptures with a 26th minute conversion.
