The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) today, re-certified the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’s Medical Laboratory after it successfully met the agency’s general requirements, a release from the Department of Public Information (DPI) said.

Speaking yesterday at the signing and handing over ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the GPHC, Brigadier George Lewis encouraged the staffers to maintain the standards of the corporation.

“The fact we are maintaining our standards, it means that we are sending (the message) to the public and all the patients who visit us, that the Georgetown Laboratory is working and performing in compliance with the national standards”, Lewis said, according to DPI.
