New York independence parade!

Scores of US-based Guyanese took part in a parade in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday in observance of Guyana’s 52nd anniversary of independence. The parade started from Church and Brooklyn Avenues, Brooklyn and ended at the Brooklyn Museum. A unity concert followed in the Brooklyn Museum Parking Lot. Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Basil Williams SC, Mayor of Georgetown, Patricia Chase- Green, Bartica Mayor, Gifford Marshall and former Linden Mayor, Carwyn Holland, along with several officers from the Guyana Defence Force graced the parade.
