Ministry, GTU sign agreement

The Ministry of Education and the Guyana Teachers’ Union on Wednesday signed an agreement on conditions of employment for teachers/teacher educators after months of wrangling and a brief strike. The agreement, a joint statement from the two sides said, pertains to salary and non-salary benefits. The statement said that a copy of the agreement will be made public shortly.
