The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry’s (GBTI) 2019 calendar launch on Friday, celebrated and acknowledged the artists who won this year’s calendar competition, which was held under the theme, ‘We see Guyana through your eyes’.
According to GBTI’s Public Relations and Marketing Manager Pamela Binda, the theme of the competition was intended to allow the artists to showcase their pride in being Guyanese. The competition received 130 entries nationwide and six winners were selected.
The winners of the 2019 calendar competition are Shivani Balkissoon, 12, of Hope Secondary School; Unn Persaud, 14, of Marian Academy; Chelsea Wallerson, 13, also of Marian Academy; Darshnie Pirana, 14, of Christ Church Secondary School; Mariana Ramai, 15, of Saraswati Vidya Niketan and Lorenzo Smartt, 9, of Port Kaituma Primary School.
