Two persons were on Saturday morning detained by the police after the motor lorry they were travelling in was stopped and searched and a quantity of cannabis and ammunition was unearthed.
The police said that the cannabis which amounted to 333 grams and 100 live rounds of 9mm ammunition were found concealed in the motor lorry at around 6.30 am at Seven Miles, Potaro.
The duo are currently assisting with investigations.
