Jonathan Mangra and Priyanna Ramdhani walked away with the respective male and female singles titles when the Trophy Stall Christmas badminton tournament concluded yesterday at the National Gymnasium.
After advancing to the final the previous day, Mangra, yesterday disposed of Avinash Odit 21-8, 21-14 while Guyana’s top female seed, Ramdhani defeated Priscilla Moore 21-8, 21-8 to lift the female title.
Third place in the men’s division went to Akili Haynes who defeated Darrell Carpenay: 22-20, 16-21, 16-21 while in the female category Christina Kumar defeated Ayanna Watson: 21-16, 16-21, 15-21 to take third place.
