Police in Berbice yesterday swooped on the home of a mechanic in Port Mourant, Corentyne and discovered two rifles, one with a telescopic lens, 284 rounds of ammunition and 3 magazines.
Stabroek News was told that three persons who were present at the premises when the police arrived minutes after 1 pm yesterday have been placed in custody.
