Corrective works to soon begin on Lethem Police Station horse stables

The Ministry of Public Security will soon commence corrective works on the Lethem Police Station horse stables, months after terminating the contract for its construction due to alleged shoddy works by the contractor, ministry spokeswoman Mary Adams related.

Stabroek News had in July reported that a coastland contractor who was awarded a contract to construct the horse stable at the station had abandoned the works.

At the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board recently, bids were tendered for the design and supervision services for the construction of the stables at the Lethem Police Station. Six local companies in the construction field tendered bids to provide the services.
