The Woodlands Hospital Pathology Laboratory and the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Medical Laboratory were both certified last Wednesday by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) under its Laboratory Certification Programme.
GNBS, in a press statement issued last Friday, said the two labs were certified after they demonstrated conformance with the requirements of the Guyana Standard – General requirements for the operation of a Laboratory.
It noted that through its National Laboratory Certification Programme, the GNBS monitors the operation of laboratories involved in testing, measurement and/or calibration activities to ensure that they are satisfying the criteria for certification and the requirements as outlined in the National Standard.
