Twenty-nine companies yesterday submitted million-dollar bids under the Ministry of Public Infrastructure to carry out infrastructural works in Regions 2, 3, 4 & 5.
The works entail construction of rip-rap sea defences in regions 2, 4 & 6, and upgrading of a sea defence in Region 3 and construction of revetments in regions 2, 4 & 6.
In addition, bids were also opened for the installation of LED highways lights on the Corentyne Public Road, Essequibo Coast Public Road and West Coast Demerara Public Road.
